Peer Tutoring

As part of the Counseling Services Department, Moody offers academic tutoring to all students free of charge: Students are allowed two (2) hours of tutoring per week, per subject throughout the semester. Peer tutors are Moody students who have been chosen because they meet specific academic requirements for the subject they are tutoring.

We also have Peer Tutors who can help students with more general skills such as writing papers, decreasing study time, test taking, eliminating negative stress and learning the mastery of time management. For more information on these services, please contact the Assistant Dean for the Student Resource Center.

Requesting a Tutor

Fill out the online Tutor Request Form. You will then be assigned a tutor who will contact you.

If you have not heard from your tutor within a week or for any other concerns, please contact Gayla Gates, Assistant Dean, Student Resource Center at (312) 329-2177 or gayla.gates@moody.edu.
